Faith Loves God

prayer Hey! Have you ever thought of an idea but then overlooked it because you thought it was a bad idea?

Well, that happened to me a few months ago when I thought about creating a prayer list where I could write all my prayers down and cross them off when they got answered. Then I thought “nah,” because why would I write my prayers down when I could just say them to God? But then after some further thought and encouragement from God, I was like, “Why not?” So I created a list (on my phone, of course. Where else?) and I can’t say I regret doing so. The prayer list is awesome! I have all my prayers numbered, I highlighted the ones that are at the foremost of my heart and the ones that are relevant to my life at the moment, and then I delete a prayer whenever…

Proverbs 19: Following the Plan of God

A Chapter Per Day

I am a planner. I like to know where I am headed and know what I am going to be doing. I don’t necessarily mind modifying my plans, but I like to at least have that blueprint in my mind. Proverbs 19 talks about blueprints as well, but it doesn’t necessarily put a lot of value in my blueprints.

Pro 19:21  There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

I know this from experience. There are plenty of plans that run through my mind. I have all kinds of things I think about doing or might want to do. It is called marriage. The other is called the church, which we will examine in another lesson if God permits.

Marriage

Since the beginning of time on earth God has paired both man and woman together as husband and wife. It first began with Adam and Eve and continues until this very day. God made marriage to be between…

Seeing the Glory of Almighty God

Faith Love n Desire

Moses-300x168

God allowed Moses to see His glory so that he might be changed by the sight of it—and the same is true for us today. God reveals His glory to us so that by seeing it, we might be changed into His very own image!

Today, Jesus Christ is the express image of who God is. When our Lord became flesh, it was as a full revelation of the heavenly Father’s mercy, grace, goodness and readiness to forgive. God wrapped up everything of His nature and character in Jesus. And any revelation of His glory to us now is meant to change us into an expression of Christ.

The apostle Paul understood well the purpose and effect of seeing the glory of God. He saw it as power to change the beholder, to revolutionize the life of every follower of Christ. “But we all, with open face beholding as in…
